Durable

• Rugged Keyboard Style Buttons: Our PTL devices are constructed with keyboard-style buttons that provide tactile feedback to the user and protect the internal electronics and switch mechanisms from direct force. The switch mechanism is designed to last up to 20 million cycles.
• Hardened Aluminum Channel: Our solid aluminum channel guarantees that no matter who steps on the shelf our devices are protected from damage.
• Steel Continuous Brackets: During installation we only use solid 12-gauge steel brackets unless the customer specifies otherwise. Our custom brackets ensure your system looks new after years of abuse.
• Vibration Protection: Spring-loaded connectors provide reliable device connections even when they are bumped, hit, or subject to constant vibration. Similar systems using this style of connector have been in production for 15 years with high reliability and low ownership costs.
• Anti-Static Protection: Anti-static traces around the perimeter of each device protect them from static electrical discharges common in winter and dry seasons.
• Guaranteed Message Delivery: Our devices track message receipt and transmission, providing reliable insight into every action performed at every device in the facility.

Flexible

• Server Based Firmware Updates: Our unique firmware updater keeps your devices up-to-date with the latest features and releases. If you want to upgrade your devices, simply click on the firmware version you wish to load and five minutes later all lights in your facility are updated.
• Dynamic Slotting: Our hardware stands alone in the industry with its ability to dynamically slot locations and pick faces entirely through software. For put systems we have used this technology to dynamically create the proper slot size and outbound container size based on order volume and cube.
• Device Short Cuts: Our flexible hardware and software functions provide short cuts at each location for common tasks like splits, fulls, and force completes to reduce walk time.
• Device Intelligence: Each PTL device contains a microprocessor that captures accurate data and timing events at the pick face. The microprocessors give our solution the flexibility to grow and change with business needs to provide new features and improved ROI even years after hardware installation.
• Seven Bright Colors: Our seven-color devices allow you to use the software to define visual zone demarcations, multiple selectors in a zone, cluster picking, location menus, and quick shorting, which increases accuracy and workflow flexibility.
• Eight Displays in Each Location: Every location has at least eight alpha-numeric displays to allow for case and unit selecting, location validation, SKU validation, and location messaging.
• Intelligent Power Management: Each device can be regulated to control the amount of power it consumes dynamically, based on workflow events or lighting changes to provide a greener, more cost-effective solution.

Supportable

• Wireless Maintenance Applications: Device diagnostics can be run from any Web-based PDA or Windows CE or mobile device. Replacing devices can be done in fewer than five minutes in a zone while neighbor zones are still selecting.
• Real-time Diagnostics: Run zone-based diagnostics [can be run delete] at any time without affecting neighboring zones. From the Reddwerks Mobile Platform, maintenance teams can verify connections, configuration, and communications all the way back to the server without leaving the floor.
• Facility Wide Diagnostics: Supervisors and maintenance personnel can verify all devices in one action from any Web page to quickly identify issues, devices, and exact locations causing problems in sea of more than 30,000 PTL modules.
• PickAround™ Fail Safe: If a device fails while an order is being processed or while maintenance teams are unavailable, the selectors can continue filling orders using the nearest bay display, which eliminates downtime.
