Rathan Levins Appointed Manager, Controls Software Group
AUSTIN, Texas – February 25, 2010 – Reddwerks Corporation, a leading provider of warehouse performance management (WPM) software and solutions, announced that Mr. Rathan Levins has been named Manager of the Controls Software Group. Rathan will be responsible for managing Reddwerks’ growing business, developing, and supporting software running on a wide variety of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Reddwerks customers use PLCs to help run a wide variety of conveyors and sorters and a wide variety of ancillary material handling equipment such as print-and-apply, in-line weight scales, etc.
Reddwerks now offers one of the most wide-ranging software modules, targeted at high-volume order processing in major distribution facilities—from controls software to advanced wave planning—all under the company’s industry-leading WPM software umbrella. Reddwerks has more than 200 sites around the US and Canada running its controls software and over 50 sites running its most advanced WPM software which manages all manner of order processing, from pick and put-to-light systems to voice and sophisticated bar code scanning applications.
Previously, Rathan held the position of VP Sales at Electro-Mechanical Integration Technologies (EMIT), where he worked with a team to manage the relationship with their biggest customers, including Dell Inc. Rathan held a variety of other positions at EMIT prior to being named VP Sales including Project Manager and Account Management for semiconductor. Prior to joining EMIT in 2002, he held the position of Program Manager for Test Engineering at Applied Materials, the largest manufacturer of semiconductor equipment in the world. Before Applied Materials, Rathan served as project manager for offshore deepwater drilling control systems for NOV as well as Chief Information Officer for Public Works at Port Hueneme in the US Navy as a Lieutenant. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
