Reddwerks Exhibiting at Pro-Mat January 8-11, 2007 at McCormick Place, Chicago
AUSTIN, Texas - January 8, 2007 - Reddwerks® today announced it will be exhibiting at the bi-annual Pro-Mat 2007 trade show (#4253) sponsored by the Material Handling Industry of America, January 8-11, 2007, at McCormick Place, Chicago.
Reddwerks order processing solutions are used by Fortune 2000 companies to process business-to-business orders consisting of pallets, cases and individual items, and business-to-consumer orders of individual items, sometimes cases. Most large-scale warehouses use two or more order processing methods to process inventory: slow versus fast moving SKUs, items versus cases, conveyables vs. non-conveyables, etc.
Important announcements by Reddwerks at Pro-Mat include the introduction of our new US-based sales team and the first public showing of our warehouse order processing solutions:
Server Software:
- Omni-Order™ 2.5: Integrates all of the popular picking methods with real-time analytics and reporting. Reddwerks supports paper-based systems, the leading barcode scanning and RF devices, pick/put-to-light system hardware by Reddwerks, Kingway & FKI, voice-directed devices from Symbol and carousels by Remstar. Omni-Order 2.5 supports Oracle, SQL Server, Informix and open source MySQL & MaxDB and runs on Windows, Linux and UNIX (AIX 5L + HP-UX 11).
- Omni-Control™: Includes warehouse control system ("WCS") software for managing conveyors, sortation and other important warehouse systems and equipment. Omni-Control server software comprises a totally integrated part of our solution and provides the same level of analytics + reporting services as that found in Omni-Order 2.5.
Client Software:
- Omni-Order™: 100% browser-based Windows + PDA client software allowing for easy access to Omni-Order 2.5 & Omni-Control server applications.
- Omni-Voice™: Voice-directed software running on Symbol hand-held devices and integrated with server software.
Hardware:
- Omni-Pick™Pro: Pick-to-light displays for pick + put applications. Our "software-friendly" devices track multiple pickers/zone with 100% individual productivity reporting.
- Omni-Pick CD: Continuous display modules are instantly configurable for changing SKU locations + SKU slot sizes down to one inch centers eliminating the need to for track-based systems.
"We are extremely pleased to launch our new warehouse order processing solutions at Pro-Mat 2007," said Jean Belanger, Chairman & CEO of Reddwerks. "We have been quietly installing our advanced technology for the past two years in large-scale Fortune 2000 facilities. We have reached the critical mass of installations that we needed to achieve in order to begin wide-scale deployment and we are happy this coincides with Pro-Mat allowing us to reach the widest possible number of customers. We maximize through-put with increased accuracy and we really shine in providing facility-wide productivity analytics. Our installations to date have seen our customers realizing paybacks on investment of less than one year."
Reddwerks order processing solutions have been designed and built from the ground up providing the highest processing speed and the highest accuracy possible with total accountability. Every action, every button push, every conveyor divert is available in real-time as all system events are for the first time, tracked and reported on, separately and simultaneously. Customers can "see" their entire warehouse operations including multiple "views" of worker productivity: picking rates per hour, per day, per week, against any historical data aggregated as requested.
Why Customers Use Reddwerks Order Processing Technology:
Total Integration: Eliminates separate software silos for individual applications of paper, pick-to-light, voice, barcode, RF and carousels based order processing. All client devices are plugged into our Reddwerks server - the only integration point into main ERP/WMS systems. We significantly reduce the costs and risks associated with multiple vendors needing to plug their applications into important corporate systems.
Track Record: Developed over the past four years, we began installing our systems in Q1/2005. Reddwerks' solutions have been battle-tested in a variety of facilities and applications and have provided customers a payback on their investment in months, not years. Customers have seen increased accuracy, faster throughput and increased productivity.
Business Intelligence: Produces sophisticated reports for managing orders and WCS while featuring response times as low as 10 milliseconds for interactions with conveyors, pick-to-light systems and other hardware. As orders are processed, data moves from our real-time online transaction processing ("OLTP") engines to our online analytics processing ("OLAP") database models. Reports are generated in seconds. Customers quickly gain insight into worker performance, facility performance, slotting, conveyor optimizations, and workflow improvements. The information can be trended over days, weeks, or months.
Scalability: Supports up to 50,000 pick modules, printers, scanners, RF + voice devices and other MHE types. There is no degradation in system and reporting response times - from our smallest installation of 1,000 devices to our largest of over 10,000 devices.
Reliability: Every customer runs the same Reddwerks server software code base. Changes from one customer to another are encapsulated in "workflows" tailored to each Reddwerks customer needs to ensure maximum performance in their facility. Every Reddwerks customer is running the same server applications which greatly increases software reliability after system "go-live" is achieved.
Security: Accessible from any browser-based device in a secure environment. Role-based authorizations ( pickers, supervisors, executives ) are easily integrated for one sign-on. Our security environment allows for significantly easier Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
About Reddwerks: Reddwerks develops and sells advanced warehouse order processing solutions for Fortune 2000 companies. Reddwerks solutions provide warehouse and distribution center management with greater control, flexibility and visibility to better deal with continual changes in business demands, while enhancing operations performance with improved labor management/utilization, order planning, multi-facility management and more.
